Description
The first pronomian prayer book! A collection of Scripture passages that have been compiled for a daily prayerbook. Pray the Scriptures daily, memorize the Word, and let the Bible guide your prayer time. Approaching the daily prayerbook from a pronomian perspective, this book includes prayers and readings for the five biblical festivals, the Sabbath, Purim, and Hanukkah.
2nd Edition
This second edition has had minor changes to some prayers and to formatting. But the most notable changes are in the added prayers of Afternoon prayers 1 & 2, Preparing for Sabbath, Prayer before putting on tzitzit, Prayer before putting on Tefilin, Prayer before reading scripture.
Beyond this, by overwhelming request the name “Jesus” has been changed to “Yeshua” throughout.
From the Editor
Growing up using a Jewish prayer book for liturgy I wanted to find something that fit my Christian faith. I turned to the common book of prayer but found too much of it to be man-made and theologically off. I looked for something within the Baptist denomination, but everything I could find was based on the Common Book of Prayer. I was tired of praying man-made prayer when the Word of God was available. Yet, no one had put together a prayer book that was simply Scripture.
I put together several Scripture passages for our Church to recite together. I continued to compile Scripture and finally decided to make it into a full daily prayer book. There are no prayers included that are not taken directly from Scripture.
Since I celebrate a seventh-day Sabbath and find Christ to be the focus of the biblical festivals, I have included services for these events. Those who hold to a Sunday Sabbath will be able to use the Sabbath service for their worship time. Those who celebrate Easter will be able to use the Passover liturgy for their service, etc.
It is my hope that those who use this prayer book will find it enjoyable and edifying as they dive deeper into God’s Word.
